About Us
Well established, Neucom Ltd is a highly regarded risk management consultancy based in the South-West of England. From there, we assist Organisations world-wide with the installation, analysis and on-going development/improvement of systems and practices related to safety and security. We also have a solid appreciation and working knowledge of environmental and quality management systems that, when needed, enables a fully integrated approach to our work.
We also have a Specialist Division that assists industry with the management, investigation, analysis and remediation of industrial accidents. Whilst investigation is its principal expertise, the Division has a well endorsed reputation as the leading developer and provider of courses in this field. It is an 'IIAI International Centre of Excellence' entrusted by the Institute of Industrial Accident Investigators to be the sole provider of higher level award courses to its membership and prepare candidates for IIAI Instructor Assessment. Other Organisations that trust the Division's training expertise include the BBC, Royal Mail, Transport for London, Royal Naval Command Headquarters, Stirling Council, Hampshire Council and Prosafe Production, to name just a few.
The Specialist Division is headed by Paul Difford (pictured below left in June 2009 receiving Honorary Fellowship of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management), one of the country's most respected and sought after investigators.

As well as being Neucom's Senior Consultant and Principal Investigator, Paul is Director of R&D at the World's only Centre dedicated to the study of accident investigation and the professional development of accident investigators. Paul and his team have recently commenced compilation and analysis of the “IIAI Ten Year Study” and, naturally, Neucom and its clients will be amongst the first to benefit from the early releases.
To find out more, please take a look around our site. Be sure to look in now and again on the reading rooms. You may need to be a member of the Institute of Industrial Accident Investigators to access certain resources but joining the IIAI at the moment is relatively straight-forward due to an Assisted Election scheme being in place for those wishing to become Full Members based on prior experience.
